Through this three-fold approach of proper education, creating coherence in national consciousness, and effective rehabilitation, we can dramatically reduce the cost of crime currently estimated at more than 30 billion a year according to Home Office figures. Based on the results of research, fully implementing the Natural Law Party programmes would quickly reduce prison costs by half, saving £800 million per year. In addition, the £16 billion per year costs of the criminal justice system can be reduced substantially by reduction of crime and by simplification of the legal and judicial system.
