1. Enlivening the infinite creativity of Natural Law in national consciousness - the foundation for sustained economic growth

It is a universal principle of administration that supreme intelligence should be engaged so that government will have an atmosphere of positivity and harmony in the nation to prevent the emergence of negativity and problems.

The government, being the sovereign power in the nation, is expected to have control over situations and circumstances. But any government that does not have the support of Natural Law, even when it is supported by the majority of the nation, will always remain a football of situations and circumstances. This is the case with Britain's current government.

Other parties deal with problems only on the level of the problems themselves, without eliminating the stress and incoherence in national consciousness that underlies all problems. Unless the field is ploughed, the weeds remain and do not allow proper growth of a new crop. Unless the national consciousness becomes coherent and stress-free, problems will always exist and the progress of the nation will be obstructed.

The Natural Law Party, by enlivening the positive, harmonious, and nourishing power of Natural Law in national consciousness, will gain command over situations and circumstances and prevent the eruption of negativity and problems in the nation. We will establish a coherence-creating Group for a Government - 7,000 Yogic Flyers, experts in Natural Law - who will enliven the evolutionary power of Natural Law in collective consciousness to maintain positive and healthy trends in every area of national life.

In this way, we will engage the most expert administrator, the cosmic administrator - Natural Law - which eternally administers the universe with perfect orderliness, quietly providing nourishment and evolution to all, free of charge.

When a group of 7,000 Yogic Flyers is established in Britain, all negative trends and tendencies will disappear, just as darkness disappears with the onset of light. National creativity will flourish, investor and consumer optimism will increase, and the economy will shift from its existing uncertainties to a royal and steady path of sustained and sustainable growth. We offer this one solution to all the problems of the economy.

This coherence-creating programme has been verified politically through its recent application by President Chissano of Mozambique to create political peace in his country (see section on A Group for a Government).

The effectiveness of this programme has been scientifically verified by over 43 scientific studies during the past 23 years. In a recent demonstration project in Washington, D.C., a group of 4,000 experts in Natural Law - Yogic Flyers - created an influence of positivity and harmony that reduced violent crime to a level 20% lower than the level predicted on the basis of trends and dramatically improved the effectiveness of the US government. Other studies have shown that economic trends, as determined from the previous five years, became more favourable when a group of Yogic Flyers created coherence in national consciousness.

Britain's most precious and under-utilised natural resource is the unlimited creative potential of its 58 million citizens. The Natural Law Party will introduce study and research in the field of consciousness into schools and businesses, in order to develop the full creative potential of every individual.

We believe that the only way to ensure the competitiveness of British businesses in international markets is to increase the creativity of British managers and work force. Our educational programmes will develop in everyone the same skill in action found in Nature's principle of least action, which promotes maximum accomplishment with minimum effort on the basis of infinite creativity. These programmes will awaken the inner creative genius of every individual in order that everyone can achieve fulfilment and perfection in their personal and professional lives.

The Natural Law Party government will establish British universities overseas to provide students with the opportunity to travel and study abroad. This will expand their horizons and will help make Britain more effective in the international economy.

Poverty has its basis in lack of creativity, for which only the government can be held responsible. The Natural Law Party government will train the people to function from the highest level of creativity in order to to eradicate poverty completely. Government should not lack the capability to bring fulfilment to everyone.

The supreme achievement of the Natural Law Party will be that through the knowledge of Natural Law introduced in the educational system, each individual will act in accord with Natural Law. No one will violate Natural Law or impinge on the rights of others. This will be the supreme fulfilment of the democratic system in Britain.

By eliminating stress in individual and national life, the Natural Law Party will eliminate the basis of ill health and all problems that restrict economic growth.

3. Creating a healthy nation

The Natural Law Party government will introduce prevention-oriented health education courses in business and industry. These programmes have been scientifically shown to improve the health and vitality of workers, resulting in less absenteeism and increased productivity (please refer to Health section). These programmes also eliminate the stress caused by routine work, improving enjoyment of life.

A study conducted at Sumitomo Heavy Industries by the Japanese National Institute of Industrial Health found significant improvements in physical and mental health in workers who practised Transcendental Meditation. Japanese Journal of Industrial Health 32 (1990): 656.

The prevention-oriented health education courses offered by the Natural Law Party will include training people how to read their own pulse in order to detect growing imbalances in their physiology, and how to correct these imbalances through dietary adjustments and herbal preparations before disease arises. These measures are predicted to reduce disease by 50% within 3 years, saving the nation 18 billion annually in health care costs and preventing untold suffering.

British workers have 177.2 million absentee days per year. With widespread application of the programmes proposed by the Natural Law Party, this figure can be reduced by 50%, saving British business 11.2 billion annually. In addition to the benefits for the individuals concerned and for British business, the government will receive billions of pounds in tax revenue from the increased profits generated by less absenteeism.

4. Providing immediate full employment for all unemployed in Britain

The Natural Law Party government will immediately engage the unemployed in projects of benefit to every community and the whole nation. This will include projects to reconstruct and beautify Britain, rebuilding our homes, towns, and cities in accord with Natural Law, to promote the health and vitality of everyone and harmony in every home (refer to point 6 on Employment, and section on Housing and National Planning).

5. Eliminating public sector borrowing and paying off the national debt while lowering taxes for all

6. Expanding Britain's export market

The Natural Law Party recognises that to ensure the continued growth and stability of our own economy, the whole world economy must also experience growth and stability. In order for the industrialised economies to continue growing, it is vital that developing economies grow in self-sufficiency rather than increasing debt and dependence. Our policy on international trade will therefore be to support the economic progress of all nations, particularly developing nations, rather than merely seeking profits for our own country. We will promote international development projects that support this ideal of mutual benefit.

This will help to create a permanent ever-expanding market for our goods and services abroad. We will increase exports of British equipment and expertise to developing countries to rebuild their towns, homes and infrastructure.

A Natural Law Party government will support the production and export of only life-supporting goods. We will therefore implement an immediate ban on the sale of arms overseas including the export of parts for military equipment (see Defence section).

7. Revitalising Britain's small business sector

The Natural Law Party government will implement reforms to stimulate the small business sector. On taking office, we will immediately establish an advisory board of the best talents in small business in our nation and quickly implement their recommendations.

The small business sector is responsible for the majority of both employment and economic activity. Currently our most creative entrepreneurs feel frustrated and stifled in a morass of regulation and ineffective policies that do not give them what they need.

Entrepreneurs recognize that government has a role to play, but feel there is a large gap between the effectiveness of government policies and what small businesses say they need. Our goal is to provide effective help to the small business sector.

British industry depends on trade, yet most exporting is done by a few large companies. We need to stimulate exports by small businesses, who provide the majority of new job growth.

During the campaign, all Natural Law Party candidates will approach businesses in their constituencies to discuss our economic theme: "Produce more and export more". They will present our plans for global economic revitalisation and ask entrepreneurs what they need in order to produce and export more.
