As announced in our press statement of 12 January 2001, this is where the leaders and candidates of the Natural Law Party are now focussing, rather than standing in the elections.

News of the Natural Law Party campaign for Mayor of London and the Greater London Assembly
Very urgent appeal for donations
London, 30 March 2000

Dear Friends of the Natural Law Party,

We are making great progress with the London election campaign and would like to express our gratitude to all those who have generously donated towards the campaign, and all those who have helped to collect the large number of signatures required to register our candidates. We have already registered our mayoral candidate, party leader Dr Geoffrey Clements, having obtained all of the 330 nominations required well ahead of the deadline of Monday 3 April.

URGENT APPEAL: While donations have been generous, in the next ten days we need to raise a further Ł18,000 to participate at a good level in the elections, giving everyone in London the opportunity to hear about and vote for Natural Law. This amount includes our participation in the electoral communication, which the Government announced only recently. This is a special election booklet that will contain two pages written and designed by each of the mayoral candidates. It will be printed in colour and the Post Office will send out 5.4 million copies, personally addressed to each of the people on the electoral role in Greater London.

It is an excellent resource with four hours of material, including a range of speakers from both within the Natural Law Party and other public figures, and ending with some beautiful Maharishi Gandharva Veda music. It is a pleasure to report to you from Edinburgh at the conclusion of the three-day OECD Conference on GM Food Safety. If you have followed news reports of the conference this week, you will have noted that one of the most exciting developments for the media was the arrival of US lawyer Steven Druker. The rest of the conference was fairly predictable for the media and warranted relatively little coverage!

In a wide-ranging 20-minute interview on 27 January 2000 on BBC Radio 2's popular Johnnie Walker show, Dr Geoffrey Clements spoke about the progress of the Natural Law Party in winning the support of leading politicians for the party's solutions-based approach to politics. Dr Clements, leader of the Natural Law Party of the UK, is standing in the 4 May 2000 election for Mayor of London.
