News of the Natural Law Party campaign for Mayor of London and the Greater London assembly

Dear Friends of the Natural Law Party,

We are making great progress with the London election campaign and would like to express our gratitude to all those who have generously donated towards the campaign, and all those who have helped to collect the large number of signatures required to register our candidates. We have already registered our mayoral candidate, party leader Dr Geoffrey Clements, having obtained all of the 330 nominations required well ahead of the deadline of Monday 3 April.

Our mayoral candidate, party leader Dr Geoffrey Clements, is participating in an increasing number of election events, and we have set up a new website that we warmly invite you to visit at: www.the-mayor.org.uk This site includes a summary of our unique four-year plan for London, a message from Dr Clements, press releases, etc. It will be updated regularly throughout the campaign. The site can also be accessed via the home page of our main site: www.natural-law-party.org.uk

URGENT APPEAL: While donations have been generous, in the next ten days we need to raise a further £18,000 to participate at a good level in the elections, giving everyone in London the opportunity to hear about and vote for Natural Law. This amount includes our participation in the electoral communication, which the Government announced only recently. This is a special election booklet that will contain two pages written and designed by each of the mayoral candidates. It will be printed in colour and the Post Office will send out 5.4 million copies, personally addressed to each of the people on the electoral role in Greater London.

This is a great opportunity for us - the best we have ever had to present our message to such a large number people on an equal footing with all the other parties. It will cost us just £10,000 for our entry in the booklet, which works out at only 0.2p per addressee.

We must pay this £10,000 at the same time that we submit our nominations on 3 April, and hence this urgent appeal for donations. Any contribution you can make will help to get out the message of Natural Law.

If you are able to contribute, it would be ideal if you could either put a cheque in the post today, or call in and let us know how much you will be donating, so we can plan accordingly (telephone 020 7937 3353 and please leave a message if there is no reply). We would like to suggest that anyone who can afford to do so donates £100 or more. Together we can achieve the target!
