Invitation to International NLP convention in Bonn

It is a great joy to invite you to participate in the Seventh International Convention of Natural Law Parties. Leaders, elected officials, candidates, and supporters of the Natural Law Parties from all over the world will attend this Convention. It will mark another dramatic rise in the achievements of the Natural Law Party around the globe.

Special theme: Expansion and coalition building

Since the subject was raised at last year's Convention, the Natural Law Parties of many countries have been reaching out successfully to form new alliances and win support from a wider public. This year we will be able to hear about and discuss these achievements, and develop plans for even faster expansion.

Profound new areas of knowledge of Natural Law have been unfolding in the past year and this Convention will be the opportunity to incorporate this new depth of wisdom into our policies. At the same time, many Natural Law Parties have become more involved in key national issues to great effect - from genetic engineering to crime, housing, environment, waste management, etc. In the light of this experience we will discuss how best we can penetrate political issues more effectively and really be heard.

In this respect, a new feature of this Convention is that we have invited several guest speakers, each one of them a renowned expert in his field. These presentations will be designed to help each Natural Law Party develop their policies in the relevant areas.

The most important topics of the Convention:

The thousands of delegates who have attended the International Conventions in the past six years have gained tremendous inspiration from the remarkable achievements they heard from around the world. They greatly benefited for their own initiatives from the sharing of ideas and approaches. The world is changing faster than ever and this Convention will provide the ideal forum to keep up-to-date and develop our policies for the new millennium. We will exchange experiences, discuss new ideas, and prepare our action plans and strategies for the coming year. We do hope that as many people as possible will be able to attend, both from countries where the party is already active and from many new countries. Everyone is welcome. Magnificent venue

The magnificent Maritim Hotel Königswinter, silently and beautifully located on the banks of the Rhine near Bonn in Germany, has excellent conference facilities, elegant accommodation, and a restaurant with terrace and view across the Rhine River. We can accommodate all delegates in the Maritim Hotel itself, provided we receive applications in time. Please send in your application before 15 June 2000.

Traditional full moon celebration

The Maritim Hotel Königswinter also has the advantage that it is close to Maharishi Vedic University in Vlodrop, Holland. While the first two days of the conference will be devoted to presentations and discussions, the third day, 16 July, will be the traditional full moon celebration of Maharishi Vedic University.

World Exposition EXPO 2000

The famous World Exposition with pavilions of all nations takes place in Germany from 1 June to 31 October 2000. In case you are interested you can visit the "EXPO 2000" in Hanover before or after the Convention, as convenient to you (for more info: www.expo2000.de).

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

APPLICATION: To make all the necessary arrangements with the hotel it is very important that we receive your application as early as possible. Please send your application before 15 June 2000 (no down payment required). As soon as we receive your application form you will automatically be accepted as a Convention participant. We will not send out extra confirmation letters. Application forms should be filled in for each Convention participant, for example couples or roommates should submit an application form each. FEE: The fee for the Seventh International Convention of Natural Law Parties from 14-16 July 2000 includes 3 nights, all meals and the participation in the Convention. Arrival is on 13 July, in the afternoon or in the evening. The Convention fee is fixed and cannot be changed in case of late arrival or early departure. The first meal of the Convention is the breakfast on 14 July. The sessions of the Convention begin on 14 July in the morning. On 16 July all Convention participants will participate in the traditional full moon celebration of Maharishi Vedic University, Vlodrop, Holland. Departure from the hotel will be on 16 July in the morning. In past years many delegates have expressed the desire to arrange for their own accommodation for the night from 16 to 17 July. If you wish to maintain your room at the Maritim Hotel Königswinter for this night, you can do so at a special rate of 100 German Marks. Please indicate this on your application form.

DOUBLE ROOMS: In order to make the check-in as smooth as possible, it has been requested that persons in a double room who would like to choose their roommate themselves should arrive and check in at the same time as their roommate.

PAYMENT: The payment of the full Convention fee should be made upon arrival, before check-in. For organisational reasons all payments will have to be made in German Marks in cash. We therefore suggest that you change your currency into German Marks before arriving at the hotel, e.g. at the airport.

STUDENT FEE: For students a specially subsidised fee is available. Accommodation will be in double rooms. This fee will be for young participants who are still studying. Please bring your student card when checking in. The fee will be 350 German Marks.

CONVENTION ONLY: For those who would like to arrange accommodation on their own, it will be possible to apply to participate in the Convention (including lunch and dinner) without hotel accommodation. The Convention fee will be 250 German Marks.

CANCELLATIONS: As soon as we have received your application we will make a definite commitment for your hotel room. That means we have to pay for the room. If in the case of unforeseen circumstances you are not able to participate in the Convention, it will be best if you find a replacement, i.e. another person who takes your room. Please inform us about such changes immediately.

EXTRA NIGHTS: For participants who would like to arrive one day earlier or depart one or two days later the Maritim Hotel Königswinter can provide accommodation for the extra night at the reduced rate of 100 German Marks per night (not including any meals). Please make a note on your application form in case you arrive one day earlier or depart one day later. The cost of the extra night should be paid directly to the Maritim Hotel Königswinter.

FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN: Families with small children have the possibility to order extra beds. Children should not participate in the meetings. Children of 14 years or older are considered regular Convention participants.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES: All additional services like phone calls, mini bar, children's bed, parking fees, room service, extra nights, etc., must be paid directly to the hotel before departure on 16 July.

TRAVEL INFORMATION: The Convention will take place at the Maritim Hotel in Königswinter (near Bonn), Rheinallee 3, 53639 Königswinter, Germany. The nearest airport is Cologne/Bonn. The hotel is just 15 minutes drive from Cologne/Bonn airport. However, more international flights go to Düsseldorf and Frankfurt. Trains from Düsseldorf or Frankfurt will reach Bonn within approximately one to one and a half hours. At the Bonn train station (Hauptbahnhof) take the tram (S-Bahn) Line 66 to Bad Honnef. Get off at the station Königswinter/Fähre (located in front of the hotel).
