Eve of election message to all supporters of Natural Law in the UK, 6 June 2001

Dear Friends of Natural Law,

With the UK General Election coming up tomorrow, it is clear that the election campaign of the so-called main parties has again failed to include any substantial new knowledge, new direction or new hope for the people of this country.

Since the Natural Law Party is not fielding candidates, we leave it up to our supporters to vote according to what they feel is best out of the very limited options available. At the same time, we would like to remind all those who practise Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation and TM-Sidhi programme that there is something very profound they can do to improve the outcome of the election. This is to join with others at their local TM Centre for their morning and evening TM practice on Election Day.

This will maximise the influence of positivity and coherence in national consciousness through the TM programme, thereby improving the deserving ability of the nation and creating a better outcome for the election.

Prevention-oriented administration of the Global Country of World Peace

Since the functioning of the government is purely a mirror of national consciousness, it is only by raising the purity and integration of the collective consciousness of the nation that the achievements of the government will improve. As announced in our press statement of 12 January 2001, this is where the leaders and candidates of the Natural Law Party are now focussing, rather than standing in the elections. As mentioned in the reports on the homepage of our web site, (www.natural-law-party.org.uk), this activity is now being conducted under the auspices of the Global Country of World Peace, founded by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi on 12 October 2000.

The Global Country of World Peace is a home for peace-loving people everywhere, a country without borders. Through its 40 Ministries, the Global Country of World Peace is applying the practical programmes of Maharishi's Vedic Science and technology in all areas of society in all countries of the world. As scientific research shows, this precious wisdom supports true sovereignty, self-sufficiency, prosperity and invincibility for every country, whether large or small. The Global Country of World Peace offers prevention-oriented administration to every country - administration based on Natural Law, which silently administers the entire Universe without a problem.

Changing the destiny of the nation

It is this knowledge that can truly and effectively change the destiny of our nation, and resolve the pressing problems of today, such as the disastrous situation in agriculture and the environment, high crime rate, civil unrest, educational and business failures, and a dismal health service. Every area will benefit profoundly from new knowledge of Natural Law through the Global Country of World Peace.

In this context, the policies of the parties contesting the current election inevitably seem trite and superficial. The Green Party has made working in harmony with Nature the cornerstone of its manifesto, but without programmes to create higher consciousness and to introduce new knowledge of Natural Law, the benefits will always be limited, since people will go on violating innumerable laws of nature every day. Labour, Conservative and Liberal Democrats all seem to be putting their main emphasis on the most superficial money-oriented values of administration. However, we must congratulate the parties and their representatives for the significant instances where they have made a stand for Natural Law in areas such as agriculture, energy and the environment.

As we said above, we leave our supporters to vote according to their conscience, but remembering that the real difference will be made by participating in creating higher states of consciousness and in directly applying the principles of Natural Law in all areas of national life.

With warm regards,

Dr Geoffrey Clements, Party Leader

Peter Warburton, Deputy Party Leader

Richard Johnson, Party Chairman

Patricia Saunders, Deputy Party Chairman

John Collins, Deputy Party Chairman

**We are pleased to report that, in the last few months, the Natural Law Party web site has had an average of 200 visitors per day each looking at about ten pages. The following report from netimperative.com brings out some interesting facts about the Natural Law Party web site:

ELECTION: Natural Law site flies while LibDems crawl
by Derek Parkinson on 05 June 2001 14:58:00 GMT

The Natural Law party has opened up a commanding lead over Labour, Conservative and the Liberal Democrats – in web site performance at least. According to figures released by performance monitors Keynote, in the week to June 5, connection times to the Natural Law party web site averaged 0.49 seconds, compared with 1.25 seconds for the conservatives, 2.32 seconds for Labour and a whopping 8.91 seconds for the Liberal Democrats. The party also scored best for overall reliability, with 99.78% availability compared with Labour’s 99.58%, Liberal Democrats’ 99.13% and Conservative’s 97.17%.

The Natural Law Party trounced the opposition in terms of peak performance, with 0.28 seconds recorded for the fastest download and 2.97 seconds for the slowest. The Liberal Democrats again found themselves lagging behind the two major parties with a best time of 5.13 seconds compared with Labour’s 0.79 and the Conservatives’ 0.77. The Liberal Democrats also posted the slowest of all times with a thumping 35.44-second download, compared with 16.56 by Labour and 3.23 for the Conservatives.

None of the parties surveyed can realistically blame slow downloads on heavy traffic - Panel based researchers NetValue, told netimperative.com that traffic on those sites was "too low to report on and make the numbers statistically robust".
