The enormous savings from the implementation of Natural Law programmes in the EU will lead to a dramatic reduction of over two thirds in the EU budget over a seven-year period. These savings will be derived mainly from the elimination of agricultural subsidies, the reallocation of structural funds, and the simplification of administration.

There will be additional savings wherever Natural Law Party policies are applied on a national level in any member state leading to substantial reductions in crime, sickness, economic failure, and other problems. These savings will be at least £945 billion a year within four years, and will facilitate the Natural Law Party's stated objective of phasing out vat and cutting total taxation dramatically in all member states.

Of course, there will be costs involved in the implementation of Natural Law programmes but these will easily be covered by the existing allocation of funds in each specific area. For example, the establishment and maintenance of the ‘coherence-creating’ groups of 7000 people in Europe and on each continent (see section on Unity and Sovereignty) can be financed out of existing funds allocated to development aid, and will in fact be the most fundamental contribution to sustainable development and peace in the world.

The great savings resulting from the implementation of Natural Law programmes, combined with the party’s low-tax policy, will also help to resolve the current debate about tax harmonisation in EU countries.

STRUCTURAL FUNDS:
Promoting progress and self-sufficiency in all regions of the EU

The Natural Law Party will implement a completely fresh approach to the subsidies supplied by the EU through structural funds. Of course, the ideal of helping the weaker regions in the EU should in principle be maintained. However, the Natural Law Party believes that financial assistance should always be linked to the implementation of Natural Law programmes to resolve the specific problems on a long-term basis.

The Natural Law programmes will include projects to increase coherence and positivity in the collective consciousness of the region, as this is the basic prerequisite for economic growth, and one which is universally overlooked in existing economic and personal development programmes.

This approach will bring self-sufficiency to the region in need, and prevent repeated relapses into the same problems. In addition, special task forces skilled in the use of the Natural Law Party's programmes in specific areas – education, preventive health care, management, etc. – will be employed to help implement training and other programmes to eliminate the specific problem and promote progress. In this context, the Natural Law Party believes that assistance should be given preferably in the form of interest-free loans or, in exceptional cases, subsidies. The aim will be to make the recipient self-sufficient within a reasonable period of time. It will be the policy of the Natural Law Party not to grant subsidies permanently, but just for the limited time necessary to raise the region/country to the level of self-sufficiency and sustainable growth.

LOWER TAXATION
Reduced taxation through simplified government and effective Natural Law policies

The Natural Law Party supports a low taxation policy, since cutting taxes is the best way to stimulate economic growth. The principle is: "Create more wealth and feel free to enjoy it." Through the simplification of government and the implementation of scientifically proven Natural Law programmes to reduce crime, sickness and other problems, there will be substantial savings to government which will facilitate a dramatic reduction in taxation. On a European level, the Natural Law Party will begin by phasing out vat completely.
