COMMON FOREIGN POLICY Nourishing stability, progress, unity and peace in the world  John Collins FOREIGN AFFAIRS SPOKESMAN The implementation of the Natural Law Party's programme to create a truly peaceful and united Europe will be the foundation for the unique common foreign policy for the EU advocated by the Natural Law Party. The Natural Law Party believes that the EU should treat all other nations in the world in the same way as it treats its own member states – using the proven technologies of Natural Law to promote peace, progress and unity among the world family of sovereign nations. As described in chapter 1, the party's ‘coherence-creating’ programme provides the key for creating integration and peace within the EU while maintaining fully the sovereignty of member states. The same programme, utilising the profound technologies of Natural Law, will also be used to create the ground for harmonious and constructive relationships between the EU and all other nations. Establishing one group of 7000 ‘coherence-creating’ experts in Europe will go a long way to achieve this according to the scientific research. However, as a safety factor, the Natural Law Party proposes that the EU should finance a similar group on every continent. This will create an indomitable unifying influence throughout world consciousness and maintain perpetual world peace and harmony. Establishing these groups is the first priority of the EU common foreign policy advocated by the Natural Law Party. In general, the EU foreign policy and foreign aid programmes of the Natural Law Party will always incorporate proven policies and programmes that are truly nourishing and life-supporting, promoting only progress and self-sufficiency and never increasing long-term debt and dependency for any nation. For this reason, foreign aid will always be linked to educational programmes that develop full creative potential and provide essential training and skills. A
Complete Ban on Arms Exports
The Natural Law Party also stands for a complete ban on arms exports, on the basis of the principle, "As you sow, so shall you reap" which in this context serves as a warning that the destroyer will be destroyed. Earning one's income by selling the means of destruction in the world will inevitably bring the same influence back home, leading to increased conflict, crime and destruction in one's own country. |
