Inauguration of 1997 as Maharishi's Year of Global Administration through Natural Law

On Sunday 12th January 1997, His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi will inaugurate 1997 as his year of Global Administration through Natural Law. This global inauguration will be broadcast live by world-wide satellite television from Maharishi Vedic University in Vlodrop, Holland, on 12 January from 10.45 to 14.00 GMT. All TV and radio stations are welcome to transmit the broadcast live, or record it for later broadcast (there is no fee or copyright).

Members of the press are warmly invited to watch the broadcast on their own equipment (please note that UK viewing will require a dish larger than the usual domestic satellite dish), or attend the celebration at any of the following centres of Transcendental Meditation in Britain where the satellite broadcast is being received live (see list below).

In the inauguration, Maharishi will be joined by leading scientists, doctors, and members of government from several countries, and eminent Vedic scholars from India.

Maharishi's 12th January message: of vital relevance to world affairs

Maharishi's 12th January address each year, following his traditional seven days of silence from 1-7 January, is always of great interest and highly relevant to the world situation. Maharishi reviews world affairs in the light of the achievements of his world-wide Transcendental Meditation organization over the past 40 years, and sets a direction for the coming year.

In 1997 Maharishi is setting up his Global Administration through Natural Law to support and nourish the administration through national law in every country, so that every government and every nation enjoys problem-free administration through the support of the invincible, evolutionary power of Natural Law.

This global initiative will include the setting up of a group of Yogic Flyers in every time zone and in the centre of every nation.
