The Natural Law Party is the only political party offering practical, scientifically-validated solutions to the problems of the nation. In this by-election Dianne Leighton is alerting the voters to listen carefully to the message of the Natural Law Party and register that it is the only party with policies that can change the disastrous course of British politics away from failure to success.

The discussion at the news conference will include the following areas:

Education: Successful education depends on the unfoldment of the full creative intelligence of the students. Only the growth of higher states of consciousness will lead to both improved academic performance and ideal social behaviour – a life in harmony with Natural Law, free from mistakes and suffering. Published scientific research confirms that the Natural Law Party’s educational programmes develop increased intelligence, better memory, and improved academic performance, as well as higher levels of moral maturity and an orientation towards more positive values. This is the only solution to the current search for education policies that will promote a better quality of life in the nation.

Health: Prevention of illness is the first priority for good health, yet the health policies of other parties only pay lip-service to the idea of prevention. The Natural Law Party will create a disease-free society through comprehensive health education for everyone and the introduction of prevention-oriented, natural health care, while maintaining the very best of modern medicine.

Scientific research clearly indicates that Natural Law Party health programmes could eliminate 50% of disease within three years.

Law and Order: Any attempt to create a safe, crime-free society must deal with the very basis of crime – the accumulation of stress in the life of the indi-vidual and society resulting from the constant violation of Natural Law. Published research shows that the programmes promoted by the Natural Law Party lead to substantially reduced crime and also effectively rehabilitate offenders. The current attempt to control crime through increased use of fear and punishment serves only to increase the level of tension and negativity in the country.

Economy: The Natural Law Party will stimulate economic growth by introducing training that unfolds the full creative potential of management and work-force. Scientific research shows that these programmes will increase employment, and generate prosperity and economic optimism in the nation, thereby reversing the trend of instability in the economy.

Integrated national consciousness: During the news conference, experts will demonstrate Yogic Flying, Maharishi's technology of consciousness, which has been scientifically shown to resolve stress and create a more positive, harmonious nation. The results of a scientific study soon to be published show that crime in Merseyside decreased by 15% from 1988 to 1993 (compared to a nation-wide increase of 45% over the same period) as a result of a group of Yogic Flyers in nearby Skelmersdale.

All-Party Government: The Natural Law Party will create an all-party government, composed of the best minds of all parties, and the greatest experts in every field irrespective of party affiliation. The principle of constant opposition in democracy, in which the parties in opposition do all they can to make the government fail, is highly damaging to the orderly administration of society.
