"The Natural Law Party joins the other political parties in abhorring the terrorist incidents occurring during the past two weeks," said Dr Geoffrey Clements, leader of the Natural Law Party, today.

"However, the Natural Law Party wishes to emphasise that simply condemning these acts will not create any effect, just as the acts of terrorism themselves will never convince the British government or people of the terrorists’ point of view.

"It is vital that something constructive be done to end the situation. There are two things that can and should be done immediately.

"Firstly, we must deal with the root cause of this problem, which is the accumulation of stress in national consciousness resulting from the continual violation of the Laws of Nature by the whole population. The Natural Law Party's programme to create integrated national consciousness, by establishing a group of 7,000 experts in Transcendental Meditation and Yogic Flying, will neutralise stress and make the nation invincible against these negative acts.

"Secondly, we must halt the destructive practice of British arms sales overseas. This trade not only exports death and destruction, particularly where we sell arms to both sides of a conflict, but also creates a negative effect at home. We all know the old proverb ‘As you sow, so shall you reap.’ As long as we continue this destructive trade abroad, we shall continue to experience high crime and terrorism at home.

"It must be clear to everyone that other strategies simply do not work, whether negotiations, police surveillance, or force against the terrorists. The Natural Law Party's programme is straightforward to implement, and its results can be tested. It has already been shown to work in over 40 scientific experiments. Now is the time to implement something effective," Dr Clements said.
