News ConferenceNatural Law Party presents its Manifesto for Europeoffering unique policies to maintain full sovereignty in a truly unified EuropeWednesday, 23rd April 1997 St James Court Hotel, Buckingham Gate, London SW1 Principal Speakers: Dr Geoffrey Clements, Leader of the Natural Law Party of the United Kingdom Dr Reinhard Borowitz, Secretary General of the Maharishi European Council of Natural Law Parties, and leader of the Natural Law Party of Germany While all other parties in the general election struggle over the position they would like for Britain in Europe, the Natural Law Party offers a clear and fresh perspective on the issue. In its manifesto for Europe, the Natural Law Party presents policies that will enable the nation to transcend the dilemma of choosing between British sovereign interests and the benefits of closer integration with Europe. The new approach of the Natural Law Party simultaneously strengthens sovereignty while promoting constructive and harmonious relations with all European nations. Otherwise, the current approach towards integration in Europe could soon give rise to serious conflict. Dr Clements and Dr Borowitz will outline this approach and show how it yields totally new possibilities to resolve current divisions over Europe. They will present Natural Law Party policy on monetary union, the Common Agricultural Policy, the Social Chapter, a referendum on Europe, EU bureaucracy, and current moves towards a common defence policy. Since Britain has already surrendered much of its sovereignty with the signing of the Maastricht Treaty and other agreements, the full co-operation of our European partners will obviously be required in order to enjoy full sovereignty while maintaining a good working relationship on all matters of common interest. Dr Borowitz will show how the rapid growth of the Natural Law Party in all EU countries makes this objective truly attainable. The Natural Law Party in each European country has the same goal of promoting national sovereignty at the same time as European unity,
