UNIQUE OFFER TO THE LABOUR PARTY TO ENSURE SUCCESSFUL GOVERNMENT

Statement on the election results by Dr Geoffrey Clements, leader of the Natural Law Party

"We wholeheartedly congratulate The Labour Party and wish them all success. We shall be contacting Tony Blair to offer him the support of our scientifically validated programmes in order to create health, happiness and prosperity for everyone in the nation.

"The Natural Law Party has contested this election in order to make the electorate aware that effective programmes do exist to make government effective and to solve problems in the nation. We have found an enthusiastic response to our policies and programmes throughout the country, and an appreciation that these programmes can bring about a great improvement to national life.

"We hope that the new government will realise the urgent need for the scientific solution-based approach that we have introduced. Mr Blair and his government are clearly, sincerely committed to bringing positive change to the nation. The Natural Law Party wants to emphasise to the new Labour administration that without new knowledge government will not be more successful than before. The government is an innocent mirror of the nation. If national consciousness is stressed and disorderly, the government will inevitably reflect that quality however well intentioned it may be. Our programmes will bring the full support of Natural Law to national life, creating an integrated, positive national consciousness, the secure foundation for successful government.

"Due to the constant violation of the laws of nature in all fields of life, there is an underlying level of stress and ill-health throughout the nation. With the confusion that this causes, the majority of people will go on voting for the old parties that have repeatedly failed in the past. They will now have to face the consequences of their choice.

However, if the government incorporates the tried and tested policies of the Natural Law Party in administration, this will improve the destiny of the nation.

At the same time the Natural Law Party will be offering its programmes directly to the people in every constituency.

These programmes will include:

1. Maharishi's Vedic Approach to Health, the natural, prevention-oriented system of health care, which research indicates could eliminate 50% of all disease within three years.
2. Educational programmes that unfold the full creative genius and personality of every student. This will provide the basis for dynamism and success in all fields of national life.
3. The promotion of natural, sustainable agriculture and a ban on all genetically modified foods.
4. Architecture and planning that is fully in accord with Natural Law, using the principles of Maharishi Sthapatya Veda.
5. Unique corporate revitalisation programmes to regenerate the economy and provide a stable basis for the prospects of the nation.

The Natural Law Party deeply wishes that the new government can bring success and fulfilment to the nation. However, everyone should know that this will not come about through hopes and wishes, nor simply through a change of party in power.
