Offers policies to ensure that a double "yes"
vote results in:

Shandos Room, The George International Hotel 19-21 George Street, Edinburgh
Principal Speakers: Dr Geoffrey Clements, Leader of the Natural Law
Party of the United Kingdom, and Mr Kenny Blair, Natural Law Party spokesman
for Scottish Affairs
Demonstration of Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation and Yogic Flying
- the technology of consciousness to bring the support of Nature's government,
Natural Law, to Scotland (videotape presentation).
THE NATURAL LAW PARTY is making a very special contribution to the
debate about Thursday's referendum in Scotland. Natural Law Party policies
open a new gate for the fulfilment of Scottish interests and allay the
concerns over the result of a double 'yes' vote.
"Those who are urging a 'no' vote based on fears of unnecessary
bureaucracy and increased taxation, need no longer fear," says
Dr Geoffrey Clements.
"The policies of the Natural Law Party minimise unnecessary administration, and
our cost effective programmes will lead to substantial reductions in
expenditure and taxation.
"The Natural Law Party fully supports the devolution of power
to Scotland and the establishment of a new Scottish parliament. The
Natural Law Party position is that all decisions that can be
taken in Scotland should be taken in Scotland.
"The Natural Law Party's proven programmes to create integrated
(unified) and stress-free collective consciousness will enliven the
support of Natural Law and provide the basis for this change in the
structure of government to take place smoothly. The freedom, independence,
and cultural identity of Scotland will be supported at the same time
as strong, constructive bonds with the other three home nations, the
European Union, and the world." Dr Clements said.
Natural Law Party solution: Scottish parliament with
tax raising powers will lead to lower taxes for Scots
Regarding tax raising powers, the Natural Law Party believes
that the people of Scotland should have the right to contribute their
taxes to a Scottish parliament which will be closer to them and spend
more effectively on their needs. At the same time, the Natural Law Party
has a wide range of policies in education, health care, employment,
etc., which will solve problems in society and reduce the need for government
expenditure. We believe that total taxation at all levels of government
should not exceed 20% of income (at present the taxation level in the
UK is about 43%).
Scotland's new parliament building should be constructed
according toNatural Law
For the Scottish parliament to function effectively the new building
must be constructed with due consideration to the laws of Nature. All
aspects of placement, construction, and materials used must promote
the physical and mental well-being of the members of the parliament,
and the effectiveness of their decision-making. The Natural Law Party
has a complete programme for such architecture. Among other details,
the entrance should be from the east, and southern entrances must be
avoided since they bring only negative effects. The same applies if
any existing building is used for the Scottish parliament.
