Maharishi Open University offers Total Knowledge to everyone, via global satellite television network

On November 4th, Maharishi Open University will begin broadcasting its courses of Total Knowledge of Natural Law, via a network of eight satellites to almost every country in the world. The courses are open to anyone, of any age and any educational background. In the first two months since the courses were announced, over 6000 people have applied, including 500 from the UK.

Advertisements (copy enclosed) have started to appear in newspapers worldwide. The advertisements draw attention to the contrast between the inadequate and even harmful, segmented approach of today’s education and the profound and practical nature of consciousness-based education offered by Maharishi Open University.

Modern education prevents full development of the brain

According to Dr Bevan Morris, President of Maharishi University of Management (USA), one of the institutions affiliated to Maharishi Open University, ‘Education today actually prevents the development of the total potential of the brain. This is because of its segmented approach, in which students focus on specific fields of Natural Law, such as physics, mathematics, management or art, and therefore only enliven specific parts of the brain, and never the total brain. Problems existing in the lives of people everywhere are the result of this inadequate, incomplete and harmful education.’

Dr Morris made these points in a lecture to the plenary session of the UNESCO World Conference on Higher Education, held 5-9 October in Paris, a conference attended by participants from 186 countries, including many education ministers and inter-governmental organisations.

Dr Morris added: ‘The consciousness-based education offered by Maharishi Open University develops the total brain, and unfolds its unlimited creative potential. The time has come to change the age-old concept of a university from "all knowledge in one campus" to "all knowledge in one brain, all knowledge in every brain".’

More than 600 scientific studies from 200 universities and research institutions in 30 countries have confirmed the benefits for the individual and society of the consciousness-based education offered by Maharishi Open University.

Every individual has cosmic potential

The President of Maharishi Open University, neuroscientist Tony Nader, MD, PhD, emphasises that full development of the brain is possible for anyone. Dr Nader recently received his weight in gold for his scientific discovery that Total Knowledge – the total administering intelligence of the universe – is hidden within the human brain physiology. ‘Dr Nader points out:‘The individual is cosmic, and it is everyone’s birthright to awaken this cosmic potentiality. Students at Maharishi Open University will gain the fruit of all knowledge – life supported by Natural Law, life in waves of bliss and fulfilment, with the ability to know anything, and do everything spontaneously right.’

Courses of Maharishi Open University

The first course will be a foundation course leading to a certificate of Total Knowledge. This will be followed by courses in the application of this knowledge to a choice of practical fields, including business management, public administration, health, architecture, and agriculture. These courses will lead to diplomas and then to degrees.

Dr Nader emphasised that there would be no exams, no requirement to memorise, no fear of failure, in fact none of the elements that cause many people to dislike or even drop out of education.

Part-time courses will also be available, for two or more hours a week over several months. Special programmes are available for secondary school students. The fee structure is being kept low, so that finance need not be an obstacle for anyone.

The courses will be taught by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi and an international faculty of scientists with many years experience of consciousness-based education. Maharishi, who introduced Transcendental Meditation to the world forty years ago and opened the gateway of enlightenment to millions of people, is now bringing the total knowledge of Natural Law to everyone through Maharishi Open University, in order to create perfection in individual and national life.

Introductory one-hour satellite broadcasts are now taking place every Sunday to introduce the full range of knowledge of Maharishi Open University.
