New education for total development of the brain

On 4 November, 8am –11am GMT, Maharishi Open University will make its first full broadcast – a special 3-hour introductory presentation of the knowledge and courses to offered by the University (the courses begin on December 3rd). The principal speaker will be His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, founder of Transcendental Meditation, with leading scientists and other faculty.

Members of the media and the public are welcome to watch or record all or part of the broadcast free of charge. Satellite details are: Eutelsat II F1 (Hotbird), Transponder 22, 13 degrees East, Frequency 11146.33, polarity horizontal.

Maharishi Open University is a unique concept in education. According to its president, neuroscientist Professor Tony Nader, MD, PhD, ‘It offers Total Knowledge – knowledge of Natural Law, which is the total administering intelligence of the universe and which is also hidden in the human brain physiology.’

Education at existing colleges and universities has a segmented educational approach. By focusing the student's attention just on one subject or discipline, it develops only a part of the brain, and thereby helps to prevent full brain development. Problems existing in the lives of people everywhere in the world are the result of this inadequate, incomplete and harmful education.

By contrast, the practical, consciousness-based approach of Maharishi Open University will allow students to unfold the cosmic potential of their own brain, thus providing the basis for successful management of life. They will gain the fruit of all knowledge – life supported by Natural Law, life in waves of bliss and fulfilment, with the ability to know anything, and do everything spontaneously right.’

The courses will begin on 3rd December and will be broadcast via a network of eight satellites to almost every country in the world. The courses are open to anyone, of any age and any educational background. In the first two months since the courses were announced nearly 9000 people have applied, including 700 from the UK. ‘We hope that many thousands of people will enrol,’ says UK spokesman Nigel Kahn. ‘By raising everyone to enjoy their cosmic potential, Maharishi Open University is going to create perfection in individual and national life – life free from mistakes and problems.’
