ELECTION DAY STATEMENT

"Whoever wins the election for Mayor of London tonight will be taking on a task of enormous complexity and diversity. Without the support of Natural Law, which faultlessly administers the infinite diversity of the universe, it will be impossible for the new Mayor and Greater London Assembly to satisfy all the diverse interests and needs of the millions of individuals in this vast city.

"The Natural Law Party therefore stands ready, whatever the outcome of the election, to work with London's new administration to implement Natural Law programmes that will resolve stress and tension in individuals and communities, promote positive trends, and create an integrated, harmonious society. By bringing all facets of life in tune with Natural Law, these practical and proven programmes will ensure the success of the new administration in reducing crime, pollution, conflict and negativity, and enhancing enterprise, success, prosperity, and, most importantly, happiness for everyone.

The need for an all-party administration

"In recent weeks, during the campaign for Mayor it has become clear at hustings after hustings that every candidate has important points to make and each represents a significant section of the community. In a way, it is a shame that we have to select just one of them to run the city. We believe it would be a better solution to set up an all-party administration - a consensus government - where the best minds of all political parties and the greatest experts in all fields would plan together selflessly in the best interests of every member of London's multicultural and multifaceted community.

"The Natural Law Party's proposal to set up a large group of experts in Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's Transcendental Meditation and Yogic Flying would create the coherence and positivity in London that would ensure the smooth working and success of this all-party administration.

"We hope that whatever the outcome of this election, Londoners may enjoy the best that Nature can offer them. We look forward to playing our part in creating a conflict-free, problem-free administration and a healthy, happy, prosperous city that contributes a peaceful, progressive influence to the rest of Britain and the world."
